• Question: Is it fun in the sea

      Absolutely. I love swimming and scuba diving in the sea. I’ve been on research cruises and travelled by ferry to France. But, I’m sure it could be scary as well. I’m not sure I’d want to be out in a small sailboat in the middle of a storm.

      I’m always glad to be in or on the sea, but I’m also conscious of how quickly conditions can change – so I try to treat it with respect…

      I absolutely love been near the sea, I have lived on the coast all my life so just been near it is fun enough for me, but the times I get to go swimming in the sea or be out on the sea on a boat is also magical. It is just so full of life!

      The sea can be warm. The sea can be very cold. It can be beautifully calm or it can be full of raging wild waves bigger than houses. So it is fun being in the sea when it is warm and calm. But when the waves are big it is really frightening and you have to be adventurous to enjoy it. And it is almost always fun if you are with your friends.

      Oh yes! Swimming in the sea is fun and calming. Despite any wind and storms above, once you dip below the surface, it’s like entering a whole different world. The calm and peaceful underwater environment, the sounds of the water and muffled noises, surrounded by all the amazing marine organisms, are such amazing experiences!!. 🏊‍♂️😊

      I think the ocean is great! I’m not a big fan of swimming (I was never very good at it!) but I love walking along the sea, looking for animals, working out what shells are what species, collecting sea glass and picking up bits of litter. Have you ever gone rockpooling? That’s a great way to play with the sea even if you don’t like swimming (or its a bit cold for it!)

      Yeah it’s great fun, there are loads of cool animals! But you need to take care in the sea, it can be crazy when the weather isn’t good.
