      Hi!
So when I worked out on the aquaculture farms I was looking after some fish which were put inside the cages alongside the salmon. Those fish were called wrasse and lumpfish (you should check out “baby lumpfish”- they are very adorable!). The wrasse and lumpfish were in the cages to eat parasites because that is what they like to eat, and it keeps the parasites away from the salmon.

When I was out at the aquaculture farm I would get on a boat, drive out to the salmon cages and make sure the wrasse and lumpfish had everything they needed, like fake seaweed for hiding in and some extra food. I would also catch some of the fish and check them over for any signs of disease or any injuries.

If you have any more questions I’d be happy to answer.
I hope you are having a great day at school!
