Question: What is aquaculture?

Jake Norton answered on 30 Nov 2023:
Hi – Aquaculture is essentially farming in water. So instead of farming crops and animals on land, we are farming water based species. There are so many different species farmed in aquaculture, such as: salmon, shrimp, seaweed, tilapia, marine algae and so much more! Salmon is the most common marine species farmed in the UK. Most of the farms are found in Scotland.
