I live in Aberdeen, although originally from the south of England. Other than science, I enjoy music, fashion, photography and socialising.

I have a guilty pleasure for reality shows.

My favourite meal is breakfast. Especially a full cooked veggie breakfast, with veggie haggis. Yes I am vegetarian and have been all my life.

Movies that shaped me growing up were Lost in translation and Clueless.

I give marine nature conservation advice to Government and offshore industries such as oil and gas, Decommissioning, renewable and subsea cabling industries.
Specially on marine protected areas and protected habitats and species.

Education:

I went to the city of Portsmouth Girls School, then onto at age 16 to do A-levels College at South Downs college.

I then moved to Scotland to do my degree at the University of Aberdeen, and my Masters degree at Heriot Watt university (Edinburgh).
Qualifications:

GCSEs: (double) Science, Maths, English lit & language, Art, Graphics, Geography, French.

A-levels: Biology, Maths & photography. AS level in Graphic design.

Degree (BSc) in Marine biology

Masters (MSc) in Climate change and managing the marine environment
Work History:

I worked in numerous retail jobs alongside education, non stop from age 16 – 26.

I also worked part time bar job, telecom’s job (cold calling), junk mail delivery, and a greasy spoon cafe.

I couldn’t afford to do any volunteering work, but my people skills from customer facing roles helped me get my first job in the field of Marine Biology.
