Like many people, I am occasionally goofy. Worst time was when I lowered a bit of expensive equipment two kilometres into the sea. Long after it hit the bottom I remembered that there was an undersea mountain there so the water was only one kilometre deep. I was lucky not to lose it.

I can be quite goofy, especially when I’m with my friends. Sometimes being goofy can be helpful in research, for example, when we let our minds wander and come up with crazy ideas, we can end up being very innovative!

Very goofy (and quite good at pretending I’m not in front of most colleagues, but other call my bluff pretty quickly!)
