I wanted a career change and wanted to do something I was passionate about – which is helping to protect the oceans.

I was fascinated by biology and really wanted to work with animals without being a vet

I wanted to make a difference to the environment and the many species that we harm. I wasn’t initially that much into the science side of things and started studying it really more to have the credibility that people might maybe listen. I fell in love with science only during my studies.

I loved Biology in School and I wanted to have a positive influence in the world with the work I do. e. g. develop malaria vaccines or produce antibiotics for chronic infections.
